You have seen the cancellation of many conferences, events, and outings due to Covid-19. We are heartbroken to share with you we will be cancelling Buddy Cruise 2020. We do not take this decision lightly and with many factors to consider, we are confident that it is the right one. There are two overriding concerns that played into our decision.

  • There is uncertainty as we wait for CDC regulations which may impact many of our cruisers.
  • Initially when the ships start sailing there may be changes to the onboard experience that may impact the delivery of our unique and special programs.

While we know this is disappointing, we want to thank you for your understanding and constant support of Buddy Cruise. We look forward to seeing you all onboard Buddy Cruise 2021.

What happens next…your options:

Move to BC21:

All families will have the option to move their cruise BEFORE Aug 8, without penalty, to Buddy Cruise 2021. To do so please call 877-239-2789 #3 let the agent know you want to move your reservation to Buddy Cruise 2021 Group ID # 4565030.
Once that is complete, join our private Facebook page Buddy Cruise 2021

Sail on Nov 8th:

If your family would still like to cruise on this ship and sail date, we will keep the group number intact so you can continue to make payments, etc. as you are currently doing. Please note: This is not a Buddy Cruise…there will be no sessions/activities or events.


  • PRIOR to final payment, Aug. 8, each family will have the option to cancel based on the type of fare you purchased:
    1. REFUNDABLE – You will receive 100% refund.
    2. NON-REFUNDABLE – You will receive a refund less the deposit. The deposit will be given to you in the form of a Future Cruise Certificate.
  • AFTER final payment, Aug. 8, penalties will apply but may be given back as a Future Cruise Certificate. Please call Royal Caribbean for details. 800-238-0166
    Royal Caribbean has not yet made a determination regarding November sailings. If they do decide to cancel our sailing and you have not made one of the choices above, you will be notified of other options.

Conference Fees:

If you have paid your conference fee for 2020 you have three options.
Please email melissa@buddycruise.org with your selection.

  1. Convert it to a tax deductible donation to Buddy Cruise Inc. We will send you a donation receipt.
  2. Transfer your 2020 conference fee to your 2021 registration.
  3. Request a refund.
